We start with our great base-recipe for a WordPress website.

They’re super clean & functional, optimized for small businesses, search engines AND user-friendliness. After 5 years of building professional custom WordPress sites we know what it takes to make WP themes rock your biz. (See our complete ingredients list or example sites.)

Place your order

Simple: you can order a Smoothie Base only, or add optional Boosters. You’ll pay a 50% deposit by credit card or your PayPal account.

By the way, if you’re unsure which Boosters you need, but you know you want to get started as soon as possible, go ahead and just order the Base. In our initial consult we’ll have a no-pressure discussion about the options to figure out how we can mix up the best Smoothie for your needs & budget.

Next, you’ll get an email (auto-magically, almost right away) confirming your initial order.

We’ll ask you for more input

In that first e-mail from us you’ll be invited to tell us your preference on who does your design. If you’re sure who that is, you’ll work through the rest of the info-gathering and design with them. If not, no worries! We’ll help you decide who’s a better fit for your project.

We’ll ask you questions about what you like and your objectives for your site. (Colors you’d like us to use or avoid, your niche & target audience, what pages you need, etc.) We’ll also gather your logo, stock photography you’d like used, your tagline, etc. You’ll be able to do this online if you like, or we can schedule a call to go over the details.

We whip up a flavor just for you

The extra-fun part! We use all that input to create a design that’s unique to you and suited to your business. If you’ve ordered custom illustration, we also do that at this stage.

Typically the design phase of a Smoothie base takes about a week including a few rounds of minor revisions, if needed. If you’re having custom illustrations as well then another week or two is common.

Once you approve the design, we build a WordPress website with killer functionality that you will be able to update yourself.

We show you how to run with it

Our WordPress tutorial will show you how to keep your site up-to-date and how to grow it over time. You’ll also get a list of recommended resources on the web to help you leverage your site.
